With unpredictable weather like we have in the mid-west you never know when your vehicle will be covered in ice or in 6 inches of snow. With the Avital 4100 you can be sure requardless of the weather, that your vehicle will be warmed up and ready to go when you are. With two touches of a button your vehicle will run for a preset amount of time (10 minutes to an hour) and will automatically shut down if you have not put the key into the ignition once the time is up. Theft if never an issue because the vehicle will shut off if the brake pedal is touched (needed to put the vehicle into gear). The remote start is not limited to winter use and is also very useful in the summer with your AC to cool your vehicle down on those hot summer days. Keyless entry is included as well as two remotes.

Some manufacturers are using keys that include a microchip inside the key to prevent theft.  When the key is inserted in the ignition the microchip activiates and sends a signal out that is specific to that vehicle.  If the vehicle doesn’t sense this signal it won’t start.  For a remote start to work regardless of the brand this signal has to be emulated.  When we install remote starts in these vehicles we also install a bypass module that will send the same signal as your factory key whenever you remote start your vehicle.  The modules will be different for every vehicle, for almost every year and will range from $29.99 to $80+ depending on the vehicle.  If you have any questions on the cost for a remote start on a vehicle don’t hesitate to call us to let you know if it needs a bypass module and its price.
